07/25 Who am I?

Finding yourself!

From seagulls
to Victor Frankel,
finding yourself
may be painful!

Taking time
to understand,
what really lies
within a man!

The moment can
be empowering,
if you allow
for a flowering.

The nature
of interdependence,
causes you to
find self relevance.

Aesthetically you
produce self evidence,
that takes you to
your own defense

No one ever
proffers from,
the vibrance of
an inner storm.

Set your sights
on things you know.
Never give in to
a winter snow!

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet’s AI:

The poem explores the theme of self-discovery, referencing Viktor Frankl and employing imagery such as seagulls and winter snow. The structure is consistent, with quatrains and a regular rhyme scheme, which lends a rhythmic quality to the reading experience. The poem attempts to balance abstract philosophical concepts with concrete imagery.

The reference to Viktor Frankl is potentially powerful, as his work centers on meaning-making in the face of suffering. However, the connection between seagulls and Frankl is not explicitly developed, which may leave readers uncertain about the intended relationship between these images. Clarifying or expanding on this juxtaposition could strengthen the poem’s opening.

The language tends toward abstraction, particularly in lines such as “Aesthetically you / produce self evidence,” which may obscure meaning for some readers. Greater specificity or use of concrete detail could help ground the philosophical assertions and make the emotional stakes more immediate.

The poem’s conclusion, “Never give in to / a winter snow!” employs metaphor to suggest perseverance, but the metaphor could be developed further for greater resonance. The poem would benefit from a more sustained exploration of its central images and a clearer articulation of how the process of self-discovery unfolds.

Overall, the poem introduces significant themes and gestures toward a journey of self-understanding, but it would be strengthened by more precise imagery, clearer connections between references, and deeper engagement with its central metaphors.

Hi Leslie...

I like the concept of this one!
I think that if you read this aloud, you will find the stumbles.
If you add a couple syllables here and there, this can be made
a really smooth piece. Nice to see you having an easier approach to change.
