Sun Catchers

Our Italian Greyhounds like to sun themselves in our yard.
I let them out most days to enjoy this when the sun is doing its work.

On days that are grey and cold, the blame seems to be directed at me.
As if to say, what foul treachery is this?

I tell them of my troubles and the unfairness of things,
which falls on ears that think I am always saying, "Who wants a treat?"

I love...

the thought of your Greyhounds lying in the morning sun after a brisk run and good breakfast. Of course, they will take the absence of sun to be your fault, as everything in their world comes from you; you provide for all their other comforts, why not the sun too? Annnd... as all good things come from you, treats are a must. This was a treat. ~ Geez.

Sun Catchers

Hello, Michael,

I can always picture your sweet pups by your two-sided dialogue.  What great companions.

Thank you!
