My Friend
I have a demon,
I know him well,
He was a gift,
Sent straight from hell.
He is a ugly sucker,
Skin scaly and green,
With the most yellow teeth,
That has ever been seen.
With bulging eyes,
Drool sticky and black,
A horrible creature,
But I can't give him back.
He tempts me and taunts me,
Puts ideas in my head,
He drives me insane,
Makes me wish I was dead.
If he wasn't here,
I would know right from wrong,
I could fight the temptation,
I would be rightousand strong.
But I would miss his laughter,
His cackle and smell,
For he is my friend,
A gift straight from hell.

ummmmmm
this one is confusing. I am leaning toward a soul pulled by evil and good but evil offers more perks so to speak. Free will can be a hard then to decipher at times. Ominous, different and thought provoking at best. I like off the wall writes, this is up there. keep writing poet.

hello
Him being green I wonder if your demon is jealousy. I had fun reading this but have a few ideas and one tiny typo to point out:
typo l-16 you missed putting space after righteous....also misspelled righteous spell check just informed me lol
l-8 try that have ever been seen or a variation. present line stumbles a bit in my limited opinion
l-15 perhaps insanity instead of insane
just a few thought you can mull over...................scribbler
