Secret Agent

Having the burden of carrying the emotion
He goes through life always hiding the obvious truth
The lairs of his heart run as deep as any ocean
Like centuries, ever since the days of his youth

He carries the messages of peace and kindness
While the sensation hides in between the lines
Hoping the air will imprint itself in likeness
Revealing the true fondness through all the signs

But he waits, with the patience of a dying star
Shining with a bright light trying to show her the way
Guiding her, knowing that she too will go so far
And in the void grasp the message he tried to convey

In the meantime, he longs to see her happiness
With the lovely smile she gives him when she waves
And though he delivers his notes with craftiness
The agent will take his secret love to the grave

Secret Agent

This is a fine effort that fits the theme of the contest.

Secrets carried to the grave and unsaid, silent burdens.

Well scribed nicely expressed good luck in contest.

Secret Agent

Greetings Sen99, thank you for reading and commenting.

Yes, some of us carry them with a heavy heart. I often think about the younger version of me and how many things I kept to myself to save me from embarrassment. To this day I was glad I kept several of them.

Hope you're doing well.
