garment

wear histories
in tired patterns
gather dreams
in idle beds

i remember so much
and forget so little
all the pages sitting
all the fonts and words
in my head

would I be an island
for as long as I could
I would

but there is always rain
to numb the sadness
there is always darkness
for thoughts so not seem
so shadowed

typo is incorrect Lonnie

and today it is raining
and the shadows blended
the light balanced in soft
hues The rain steady
and warm It is peaceful
and the harsh thoughts
are muted and charmed
by this small deluge
I enjoy these days and
look forward to them
Where I can muse slowly
and take my time with
troubles and histories
Thank you for the correction
