A Middle Class Eulogy
we the people
are not represented
by conservative or liberal
Democratic, tea-Party Republican or Libertarian agenda
it is not American as apple
pie to drive a wedge between
rich and poor, killing the middle class
by the ruling class,
fat wallets anonymous
contribute to campaign strategy
and borderline poverty
American TV is bought and sold
and then there's the devil to pay
as long as corporate greed is
aided and abetted by the dualistic party's
conservative mantra:
privatize, capitalize and disenfranchise!
Goodbye America we hardly know ya!
But then again there's scrap metal in Iraq, Libyca and
Afghanistan,
a counterweight to terrorism that hides
behind the red white and blue
sis boom bah,
there's unexploded made-in-America cluster bombs
just waiting to be picked-up by little unwary hands
in places that loves America the Land of the Free,
best.
(Someone please resurrect Roosevelt, JFK or Che.)

We don't.
We don't get true representation at our parliaments, only what they need to keep us quiet. We don't ask for the wars but they happen, and it's a horrible thought a child picking up a cluster bomb. We should be demanding that there is more done to rid the world of arms. Your poem is strong and well written, and i agree it needed to be out here quickly. Love Roscoe..
