Guillotine
stand against
this forlorn wish
the falling wave
heavy as a guillotine
September stays
October drawing
like a wick
the flames of souls
entwined
the sharp taste
of bitter lust
dressed in
Tuesdays look
like your secret
photographs pressed
between the pages
of a favoured book

You, more than any other poet on Neopoet
I see in the context of their "body of work". This is probably not a good thing in light of the work you are doing at the moment so I will try to see each piece seperately.
aw fuck man. I don't know what to say about this. I don't know why I like it so much, something similar could border on the pretentiously vague, but you almost never do that (except , it seems to me, in comments).
Can we leave it at that? I love it but can't explain why.
