The towel, the throw, and the focus
For most of the past year I've focused on offering critique to unread poetry. Some of it is quite good but in 90%+ of the cases, I spend more time, thought, and effort critiquing than the author does writing. It's my choice but in the last month or so I realise that there is an unintended side affect. I just don't have time to comment on the poetry of people who actually want feedback and are here to improve.
So while I will still reserve the right to comment on any submission to the Stream, I'll be focusing more on poets I both enjoy and respect and offer them critique until they tell me to shut the hell up.
If, by chance, you are thick skinned enough to desire my prattling and suggestions, give me a shout.
A side note; if I don't respect you, telling me to shut up does not have the desired affect. Full disclosure and all.
If you consider my commenting on your poetry harassment, well, it's a good bet I consider your poetry complete and utter shit and view it to be a virulent form of abuse. Just in case you were wondering.
Lastly, I only give honest and defend-able ratings. If you do not care for such, go pound sand.
