ELUSIVE COLOUR OF DEATH
Colour may be elusive in demise
The encounter devoid of yarn
Since none has come back to tell
We can only imagine the scale
From the entity hovering around
Recording birth as would be losses
The fête that follows a baby’s birth
Will also see grief in due course
Death has colours, some may say
By stroke or high blood pressure
In mosquito transmitting malaria
A heart attack that numbs the brain
From Immune Deficiency syndrome
To a cancerous tumour too late to go
We see black turned grey and white
Sometimes red in violent outbreak
Vim and vigor of mystifying origin
Painting with brush of human spirits
Daylight reflects colourful metaphors
Silhouetted shapes take over the night
Dye and flush with lashing bleach
Like life when death comes to escort
A journey to nowhere everywhere
The colour becomes hard to tell

There is something you said in one of my pieces about the 'colour of death' that prompted me to write this piece. Thank you and best wishes.

Thank you
I have corrected the cancerous word 'grieve' and also learn new use of the word. My appreciation is beyond words, thank you and best wishes.
