Top Shelf
Relax and enjoy, believe you.....me
while the plumes waft up through the air;
you quickly will find,
complete peace of mind,
erasing each primary care.
There's two ways to ingest this plant
baking will entice one to "teethe";
but other than that,
hold onto your hat!
Because then, all one must do is breathe.
Whenever I go to my cabinet
I not only think of myself;
I remember the "lot",
of friends that I've got,
and I decide we deserve the top shelf.
Top Shelf is more than a collective
it's practically a way of life;
it's not even a test,
they're clearly the best,
they make it easy to exit life's strife.
So, be sure to show "pride" when indulging
and especially treat others the same;
Top Shelf is the place,
they'll put a smile on your face,
edibles and chronic, ask for it by name!

Hello,
Good title and language usage. I enjoyed:
Top Shelf is more than a collective

I wonder if I can get my doctor to prescribe it for my depression, lol!

...it DOES help, and make a huge difference! Either that or, I'm soo way out of it that, I don't care that I'm constantly in pain! L.o.l! It IS better than the alternative....stupified on pills, and booze!

the line

seems a little awkward to me. otherwise a fun poem; not to be taken too seriously, am i right? i like it.

...I'll revisit that line. I am, however....VERY serious when it comes to taking my medication. (suddenly, an audible "snicker" bubbled-up throatily, and sprang free of it's rib-cage...)
