did she care what she danced too
the music moving her to swing her arms
in arcs

her spine arched by invisible archer
her heart soaring true

what fires flickered in those eyes
at dusk
they followed sparks or burning
wings

are we too know

smiling in her gladness
we wore out the records she favoured
the coloured player
spill proof
shatter proof

how you loved the moon
its stillness captured you
filling the mongolian almond

Like a jar of lightning bugs
your mind swum in coloured
worlds and shadows

how its been awhile

Homecare coloured
cars that came and went

the seasons changing
from snow to pollen

and the moon still
hovering in her swings

and I remembered
