The Karmic Game
The sky was set on fire
Its smoke did hide the sun
While here on earth
I stood inside the murky haze
Screaming at the karmic Gods
At the very top of my lungs
I raised my fist above my head
Wondering why was I not dead
Once again, my anger rose
Who can fly upon burnt wings
Not any you might hurt
Or cripple by your selfish games
The smoky sky did finally clear
The sun came shinning through
Whom could I have blamed?
When karma comes from what I do
Not from whom I point to
Stupid, I can only blame myself

Philosophically challenging!
though karma is an illusion. Look at the success of sociopathic CEOs who rape, pillage, steal and lie.
Don't blame yourself. Kill the sociopathic fuckers who are destroying humanity and the planet.
Well written.

Jess,
in the end we are all in a sense guilty also, because as human we turn a blind eye. What we let them do comes back to bite us in the arse. So really whose fault is it, their's for doing it or us for letting them. It is we who choose our leaders at lease in the so called free world.

Dear Eddie,
I cannot help but admire your sense of responsibility that shines through in this poem. When I was a kid I had little power to effect or change what happened to me. But as an adult, I have the power to change how I react to it. So now I take the power back from those who try to make me feel as they wish about anything. I really like this poem. It is full of imagery and powerful.

Cat,
I have learned that it is wasted energy to even try and take back your power from people, simply because they never did posse it. They can not take less we give. If we feed into it, it becomes about us and our insecurities that we carry from way back. Live in the moment, the past is the lesson, the future is not yet written, only the moment is important. That is the only thing that pleasure and pain come from, and I opp for the pleasure of being alive each moment. "Taoist thinking"
