To whom it may concern

It seems like everything I do goes unnoticed
Work my fingers to the bone and nobody knows it

I'm not asking for thank you cards and roses
but if my work ethic shifted from where it is to far below it
just think where you would be and then verbally show it

But there's no chance for that, you're too self absorbed to see my focus
I see that you'll probably frown when you know why I wrote this
Consider this my two week notice.

About This Poem

Last Few Words: Rough couple of weeks, this is my therapy. I'm not stupid enough to quit my job in this economy, but it helps tremendously to at least write it down.

I like this.
Short and to the point,
and although the subject matter is serious,
it has a charm that would merit a good poem on something less sad,
but this is your theme, and within it you expressed yourself so well.

"Thank you cards a roses" did you mean AND roses?

Hello,

this piece shows your disappointment in anothers reactions to your efforts. It is clear and understandable except for the one line in question: cards and roses or cards or roses.
