From Where it all Comes
"Muse I"
He comes gently
I hear him in my dreams
gives me inspiration
tells me I can fly.
Softly fleeting whispers
I try to catch the quiet
hold it tightly in my hands
till morning
when on paper
I can write,
making inaudible
whispers come to life.
"Muse II"
Seemingly coming from nowhere
these words that I find
dark, forgotten somewhere
beneath clutter in my mind.
I write them while I sleep
between waking and pre-dawn
I scramble, memory to keep
hunting paper, pen before they're gone.

Dear Lori,
The whole piece is exquisite. So ethereal, the first part, then:
I write them while I sleep
between waking and pre-dawn
I scramble, memory to keep
hunting paper, pen before they're gone.
I know this feeling so well. I keep a notebook and pencil on my bedside table for just this reason. You couldn't have described it better! I love this!
always, Cat

Thank you Cat!
I am so pleased you liked these! A few of my friends have asked me how/where I get my ideas and inspiration, so these came from my trying to describe it to them.
LOL, I never used to have a notebook till recently and I was always in a mad rush to find a scrap of paper...anything to write on!
Thanks again Cat!
Peace,
Lori

maybe I'll try music
...when I have not gotten out of bed and then forgotten the idea I had! Thanks for the idea Xena, and as always thank you for always taking the time to read what I write and tell me what you think.
Peace,
Lori xo
