The Lion's Meal

THE LION’S MEAL

You broke my pride
stole my dignity
wounded me
to near dying’s agony.

And like a jackal
when the lion
has had its fill
you came in
for the rest of the kill

Oh my word!

Your works have been developing in impacting, elegant ways.

Such power, compression of meaning. Very effective.

Can't find anything to crit except perhaps to find an expression for the sheer unadulterated horror of being eaten alive.

Its better we learn now

better late in the evenings of our lives
than never
ere the bell tolls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really wonder whether you are really ill
or using( ur) illness to poets kill
with your astounding utterances
from across the seven seas
to senior most critics hill

Friend be not afraid....BOLD as you are ,so bbbbbbe

read my poem

the surgeon

it contains the essence of and for existence
in my own case
doctors said I will die
any way,
but its been two decades
since that day..
each human being is an entity

Joe

A picture painted of the same scene though the scenery is changed around a little.
The fear is founded young man, as with all people that live it is the not knowing that strikes fear into the mind. Most try to ignore it for ever some bring it to the front when something goes wrong and they need to step back.
It is not a great place to be Joe,but your strength though you try to cover it is vast and there are many past and present that hold you from hurt, go well my friend and watch each dawn as they are precious to our ways.
Yours Ian
