Mindful Memorable Freeform: The Challenge

Transcending Thought

The power of transcending thought
A vast virgin field waits, open to exploration
so little is known about how a mind works

I would like to believe this is possible
glimpses of this unknown entity
have passed through the portals
of this persons thoughts

If one concentrates will the words
flow to a recipient?
yes,they can and have

How many would believe this so
or would it be brushed away as crumbs
of insanity?

Chrys
Keep your heart as open as a shrine(Bob Seeger)

I did enjoy reading this

I did enjoy reading this Chrys.

it is lovely thinking oneself out of thinking,
as if one transcends thought by not thinking,
all becomes so peaceful.

I really really like this

it challenges our own self knowledge and even cosmological knowledge (and you know I like poems like that, smiles)

Why the line
'Keep your heart as open as a shrine(Bob Seeger)'?
it detracts. If you want it to add perhaps add a link in the Last few words?

great write chrys

and memorable as far as I am concerned
just love the ending

a couple of things
'so little is known about how a mind works'
I would suggest losing the ‘a’ make it
'so little is known about how mind works'
- for you speak of ‘this unknown entity’, and if I read the poem correctly they are one and the same

one small typo
'of this persons thoughts' – (person’s)

A thought that is eternity, does it come from the entity we would call God, or does it come from the collective thought of those that are!
Deemed a state of madness to talk to a deity..
A wonderful write on states of minds and where things come from, the holy grail is probably there some place just out of reach,

thanks you
more collective thought than God it would depend on what you believe

As you say it depends on what you believe in, there are many that fear to go to that place that is beyond.
There are many that have described how you get there and what happens if you are not worthy.
As you know I have many hours of talking to Spirit children and the odd one of their teachers as they go to school there.
But in saying that and with all the things they have told me I still am unable to explain what it is like or where it is.
Your Collective thought is a good explanation of its structure.
I talk of think talk, the use of colours, also of the way where you have to judge yourself for all the things you have done while here.
I don't really worry about the transition or the after, I have told the children that when I return I shall help them with their work of rescuing children that become confused as to where they are and what has happened to them as they return..
I just haven't the time at the moment to transpose more tapes to the comp about them, not sure at my age when I shall be able to ever complete the task. One thing they said it was not needed as I had learnt from the children and was capable of writing about their place on my own.
All life is a hard task master and a lot of people worry too much about what they have done in past times when they live in the now where they can live in a beautiful way which will wipe out all those thoughts that they have done wrong..
That will do for today I know it's Sunday but enough is enough LOL.
Give my unconditional love to all that are there with you,
Yours Ian.T

Official end of Mindful Memorable Freeform workshop

Hello poets!

The Mindful Memorable Freeform workshop was scheduled to end on October 4th, 2012. Jess and I recieved so many worthy submissions after that date that we decided to keep it open. It is with regret that I notify you all that Jess and I have decided to officially close the workshop to concentrate on other NeoPoet projects.

Our thanks go out to each and every poet who participated via submission or critique or both. It was an honor to see and be involved with such a high quality workshop. Thank you to each and every one of our fine poets. Happy Holidays to all.

How a mind works

I don't think we have ever met….. at the cross roads here--------even once …but i must say… i have studied the Human Mind for decades ….and thoughts do transcend…. in dreams …in imagination and as intuition….
as transcendental vibrations

I am late on this. Thanks to the comments, I could latch on to this post in stream. Many have already commented about this before me. I would say it is as good as the title suggests, in as much as taking thoughts to the next level.

You have said that you are not here often these day, as a result we are losing out on reading more of yours, I certainly do.

Regards,

One of the hardest things I do

is think a thought without the actual words being thought in my head. I have such a "thing" about language that though I can "think" complex thoughts without words in my head it is not something I do with ease or regularity.
What are your thoughts on this?
Personally, I think this is why a Stephen Hawkins can accomplish such things as he does. He thinks a complex thought in an instant because he does not rely on language.

Think a thought without words.

Hawkins does it. He runs through a chalkboard of formula without a single "word" in his head until he gets to the same spot that's been sticking him for years and he thinks a word in his head.
I want to write poetry like Mozart wrote music.
