THE SPARROW
a sparrow came to me this morning
and whispered in my ear this warning:
we sparrows sing but a day
so listen and revel in my song
for tomorrow I will be gone.
so it is with all living things
sweet are the songs we sing
short the melody
forever the remembering

I think this piece is brill: and you are writing poetry again..
Sparrow is now hiding in his dark room, waiting for this piece to be a week old, so that he doesn't see it there. He was singing when he came in looked over your writing, and fled to his room not a sound from him, lol..
I don't want any pieces as good as this about Yenti, and Ian.T,
Take care young Joe and know we are with you always,
Yours Ian.T

live and sing
one of my great appeal of the trail

away from traffic and quieter there
I hear the birds the creeks
and the memories of youth return
invaluable
the dreams too when I do sleep
the voices of those

Until I realised that 'lied' meant song
I thought you might be playing a joke on us. My German is not that good.
I love these multilingual poems you have been gifting us, you seem to be experiencing a renaissance and I am delighting in it. Thank you.

I noticed the underlying theme of "Not being here tomorrow and things",
but I know that your tomorrow has been delayed, you have lots to do yet,
and many good pieces to write for us,
Yours Ian.T
PS:- I wish that more people would comment on your work I bet they read them, just bloody Lazy lol...Yours Sparrow
