DER DE DER DE DER
Margaret Ann Waddicor.
DER DE DER DE DER
Perhaps I should concur
with other rhymes at other
times ter te ter te ter.
Bring me wine
And strong armed bandits
As I want to dine,
Bring the plates of beef and sauces
To the patio divine
There shall we, with arms entwined
Eat our fill and then decline
On the sofa soft and warm,
Like Etruscan Lords and Dames,
While away the midnight hour
With a stirring of desire,
Then when morning tints the sky,
We shall bathe in fountains nigh.
End the seance with a sigh.
Found this in my old poems...:) Ann.

Hi Ann
First off glad you're back. The first thought I got reading this the "Der der de der" seemed to suggest the death march, am I wrong? then the poem seemed to go into an eat drink and be merry kind of direction. I'd love to know your personal thoughts behind this poem.

Hope your meal times are all as good as this one Magic, though I think to Recline on the sofa would be better than Decline, I was trying to remember the word for that piece of furniture other than Sofa that the Romans used but it wont fit the plot.
So after reclining they can be off to bed lol
Have a great day, Yours Ian.T
