M.L. Burgess

M.L. Burgess spent their childhood between the mountains of Appalachia and the oceans of the Eastern Shore. They identified as a writer at a very young age but put that dream on hold for teaching. After 30 years as an educator, they shifted back to their greatest love; writing. In just two short years, their poetry has now been included in multiple anthologies including Harmonic Verse Poems for the Holidays, Gathering A Poetry Anthology and Poets of the Promise an Anthology of Poetry. The parent of three has also published their own book of poetry titled Write Yourself Out of the Nightmare. M.L.'s goal is to continue to write, to become more proficient at the skill and to share their love of poetry by continuing to publish.
