In the desert
Like hot coals on my feet I felt the desert sand As I walked barefoot I put my sandals on my feet My throat was parched with thirst I took a drink of water from the keg I had brought along My back pack felt heavy in my hands As I put it on my back strength I did not lack Not far to go soon see the tents arranged row by row With a hot meal and stories that appeal
