Oh, to be young
Unbound for a time
From trying to keep up with society around you
Where you know that instead
There’s a deeper meaning to life
Being present in the moment
Fully immersed in the smallest sources of joy
When time with your family is the currency
And what you cherish most in this world
Where every colour, taste, sound and feeling
Has your full attention
As you hold onto them tightly
With all of your might
Hoping to make them last
Just a little longer
Oh, to be old
