Muddle of Pud

Imagine this!
Remember that?
lt's foggy like a dream,

you must be wrong
that's not my hat!
You've lost it, it would seem.

This veil of trust
is full of holes,
it's nothing like you've said;

these scenarios
are like Cheerios,
leaving holes in words, instead.

Were you in my shoes
you'd clearly see,
not much makes any sense;

but l see you
are working me,
it hurts you think l'm dense.

Again, I am

I,
a daughter of oceans
held in the palm of mother earth
a being ignited with a fire
that wove a heart of the wind
lifting,
torn from pages
floated in the firmament
I was

—-

I,
a whisper of echo
that was the call of sorrow
in a moments ecstasy,
being all and nothing
floating

I,
a speck of dust
finding niche within earth
a sarcophagus made of crust
healed with time,
and budded
to life

In the Study One Night With Single Malt

I saw a "once upon a time" today
become a story on the evening news
and I agonized that such elation
would devolve into routine tragedy,
and puzzled over the circumstances
and speculated on the injuries
that would bleed the joy and pale the wonder
and forsake the corpse of "ever after"
to lie, dimmed, beside the lifeless body
of joy dissolved in a vat of despair
while "happily" wept the heart wrenching tears
of a future barren and sown with salt.
I shook my head, quietly, as I sipped

Grin and Burn in Solidarity

We carry our ideals in our ever expanding bellies,
wobbling around with like-mind friends and rellies,
oh where is youth that promised us space views?
Gone in the vacuity of faux Fox News.

The promise we had of bright new worlds,
buried in lies of corporate turds.
Hope lies yet in the power of solidarity,
despite being disenfranchised by global disparities.

My Mission

I write to paint a smile
on a face stained with tears,
to tell her troubled heart,
Hope can banish fears

I want to tell a tale,
chase away her boredom,
share with her my feelings
and my thoughts at random

I am inviting her
to explore life's choices,
the dark reign of despair,
or the sanctity of love

I wish to show to her
dreams can come true
when she makes sacrifices
she'll find success blooms anew

The River

The River

Glistening
Like stars in a moonlit sky.
Flowing over rocks
blanketed with moss.

Clear as crystals
jutting from a darkened cave.
Spotlighting any hint of sunlight
and sending it back again.

Swift and sure
it flows in its own way.
Traveling down the mountain face
spilling its treasure into the valley below.

Feeding along the way
lush green foliage and animals.
The elk, moose and deer
with the wolves ever near.

Rivers of the Mind

The rivers of my mind washed thoughts away,
scouring new realms to drive beauty to the fore.
There banks gave way to expose more history,
layer on layer, years of knowledge unravelled

Listen if you will there is a song being sung,
old songs of wayward peoples that walked.
Banks gave way showing people things,
broken dishes, and cups, just life hidden there.
