Prelude to a Kiss
The faintest brush
of dragging fingers;
A fleeting, whispered touch
of tendrilled hair;
The pulsing shock
of electric body heat,
silken breath
and belladonna eyes.
Lips parting
in their prelude
to a first, soft-lingered
“kiss”.
Your light

and teasing touch
sear my heart,
as blood rushes
aurora-flamed,
in simmering veins...
Breath caught
In the eye
of a wanton,
“come-hither” stare.
as eager,
pouting lips
become the sole,
flush-swollen captives...
of my possessor’s
“kiss”.
