Lavender has won the 2024 Neopoem of the Year!

To Those Who Walked

I hope you have a quiet day,
a kissing breeze, sweet hours at ease
planting flowers, if you please,
and nothing there to rip it all away.
I hope you have that day.
I pray you have a gentle night,
under stars so deep they soothe and keep
your soft breath flowing as you sleep
beneath the crescent moon and her earthlight.
I pray you have that night.
And may your memories be amended
to blissful skies and green earth, so splendid
that they embrace you when you close your eyes.
May this be the rich life you come to realize.
To those who walked through the blood of yesternight,
I hope for you this day.
I pray for you this night.

Congratulations to Lavender for this well-deserved recognition!

An inspiring undertaking

the words activate, enervate, and initiate oomph of psychological quietude restoring sublime tranquility to a harried styled and swiftly tailored existence. I reveled with greater elan with each subsequent reading (at least three) to imbibe the spirited tease underscoring an proficiency with evocative images.

You are inspiring me so much

Hi Lavender. I read this poem, and observed the way you put the words together to flow so easily. It has inspired me to edit my poems quite differently. My style is evolving, as it should, but with you and Geezer mentoring me, I can see the way my poetry is improving. This poem flows so easily and is so smooth to read. I can feel it in my head. Just wonderful!
