Unlike other forums and web-sites I have usually subscribed to , I have noticed that there is no option to delete the old PMs. I mean if there are options to move to archieve and other folders , how come we can't have an option to delete and don't these PMs make an overload on the forum.

I like the responsibility of this at the moment

Nothing is hidden here in Private Messages
it cannot be used to intimidate or threats made
upon each other...wait a moment and remove
with no evidence.. Its all here for the "record"
so to speak.. Live chats are the same
I dont think unless one cuts and pastes and
entire session that there is a record of such
things.....

so this keeps us honest with our emotions
sometimes
even though its private one cannot even
really go "off the record"

I don't get how

How does any pm preserve the site safty and accountability as you have just stated. I frankly consider this a weakness in the site's software or programming.

[smiles] you are a great hearted person, Rula

PM's are strictly private, not even Andrew can view them, but I have sometimes used them in an inappropriate way, to my deep regret, and the recipient has then been able to quote them to make a complaint. I am one of the reasons that keeping them is necessary.

Don't worry about security or the load on the site memory, text takes very little memory.
