I Sure Am

I am the only master,
Mistress
And
Human being,
Of my own making
And choosing
I don't damn care,
Whether anyone calls me
Mad or otherwise
All I try to ensure is,
Try not to rub unwontedly,
But won't accept a rub wantonly,
You know it Shirley.
No one will select my poetry,
They all say I can't write it,
Perhaps they all are ignorant,
Humourless too
And
This I only wish
They all knew.

when all is in plain view

the plain, the lofty, and the tangential are all poetry too.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... and if poetry is beauty
then its reckoning and appreciation lies in the disposition of its beholder/reader.

p.s.
now you got me double posting too, :-)
