Sounds like...

a quote, more than a poem, but I like it!
Makes one think about if you meant that one should keep their mouths shut or maybe if being ignorant in some cases is bliss? ~ Gee

I guess it's more an aphorism

than a poem.
I love aphorisms despite, or perhaps because of, their lack of control.
This one really means to say "I fucking hate the dumbing down and anti-intellectualism that conservatism and other forms of totalitarianism always does. Like Trump and Dubya."

there are a few ways to "get"

there are a few ways to "get" this
that's cool
I am wondering if you had a single definitive meaning when it was conceived, or was it constructed in such a way to be enigmatic.

just curious.
It's so smooth and sonorous, YET, its dissonancing my brain!

Reminds me

of a bit of bastardised Latin we used at my first place of work
nil permitus illigitimus carborundum
don't let the bastards grind you down
