diabetes

fighting diabetes

with canoe and paddle

seems to be

an ongoing daily battle.

it appears I’m winning,

I am sad to say,

so I am forced to live

at least another day.

Actually, Jess, ...

I could have added somewhere in the piece that a late death is just life's happy ending delayed. But on reflection, perhaps that's too, too cynical. Or maybe not. I do say all of this lightly and with heart content. Thanx, Jess. Chuck PS: I appreciate your underlying assumption.

The battle

Not but just a few weeks back I had a very close friend die in a surgar comma I believe this poem was short sweet and to the point, very lovely wording. Thank you for the enjoyment. Brittany Rae
