My Wishing Well

Turbid rivers as confused as hell

Poured right down my fancy wishing well.

At the waters’ full evaporation,

To my eminent exasperation,

Residues agglomerate

Too awfully much of late.

I am now quite mad as hell:

I fear I’ve lost my wishing well.

complex, beautiful and sad

If I may be so bold, I have seen your poetry grow on this site, while it always had many layers of meaning you now seem more confident in shooting from the hip. I am seriously tempted to emulate your style, Chuck. But will do so only privately until I have something worthwhile to offer cheers, Jess

Jess:

You always have something worthwhile to offer. The devil is in the crafting. As I'm sure you know. Regards, Chuck
