Paper Mag
Magnolia, nicknamed Mag,
Now stroked her gypsy shag.
She’d thought she’d had her
Groceries in a paper bag.
In her dismay,
Her face grew hot.
She feared the tongues would wag,
Feared her mind had gone to pot.
Someone at the grocer’s store …
Had stowed them, seemingly,
In vinyl plastic sack!
And sadly, what is more,
Like some too heedless hack,
It’s true poor Mag in error
Did throw out the grocery lot.
