I wrote something today to the effect of "depression=without hope." I don't think I have depression, only because to have depression I must pay a therapist to tell me I'm depressed. And God, I'm depressed! You made full effect of your depression, though. I especially liked your intentional uncapitalization. Hey, I feel like I'm on the bottom of the world, get it?! Mark W.

bearing a heavy burden

This is depression in one of its many guises. You have captured its basic form; a yoke of complete helplessness that we all too often wear in silence. Simply stated yet heavily weighted.

So many Days...

I have felt just like your words.It is a constant battle. Some days are diamonds ...some days are dust...from a song that I cannot remember the name of. I loved your poem. Expressing how you feel is a really good start...it helps me when I can write about it. Wolfy.

I always try to write how I am feeling because it helps me get through it whatever it may be. One day at a time :) I will make it through, nothing ever stays the same. I am glad that I have figured that out.
