our cart in senseless place afore the horse

it seems to me

much evidently

(of course! of course!)

our cart doth run

here fore the horse.

why? why?

why do we seek

sagacious life,

a theme so running rife

(oh, my! I cry),

as tenanting a brother/sister

star or planetary bod?

oh the scam! the smirching fraud!

that we must look thus far abroad

the when it doth appear

we’ve yet to find a sign of it

on this fine comely planet here.
