Getting what you have been wishing for
Often is a dangerous gift
Or results in disappointment

Dare you still make a wish?

Look at how wishful thinking
Undid your prospects in the past

Can you still wish on a star
Keep the faith in fairy godmothers?

I see a last line variation .....

Knowledge of/or...... This by it's self is not as strong,but in a group of"charms it belongs a simple poke with your pen could open it up better. In ink, Dabbler

Another belated response:

Thank you, David. I´ve been thinking about your suggestion for an awfully long time, but I couldn´t change the poem. "Keep the faith" I feel to be connected to the "Can you" from the line above, so I read it as "Can you...Keep the faith in fairy godmothers?". Is this too far fetched? Yours, ~Nina
