Three Words

The night had brought the cold

And the hand in mine

The snow had fallen

A perfect layer of unbroken white

The horizon brought a contrast of white and black

As the sky was lined with stars

And random clouds that turned to a deep gray with the moon light

The snow glittered with its crystals

And in your eyes I saw mine

Like diamonds in the night sky

Reflecting all that they see

A heart with scars

And a hand that trembles

Dark eyes with the loss of trust

The frequent fear of being left behind

But these feelings have faded

Being blocked by your heart

The early sunrise

Our words took shapes as they flowed in clouds from out mouths

Over the frozen lake, the orange sun is reflected on the ice

The sky comes to life as the days change

But every moment feels the same in your eyes

As if time has stopped, and waited for us

Those three words flow from your lips like a simple melody

I can’t help but smile, since your love has saved me

The kiss from your lips, the taste remains for days

And in my mind I can still feel you there

Laying with me even when I am miles away

But no matter how far I get

You will always be with me

One simple word can’t explain my feelings for you
