Against My Will

The tears in my eyes are not of sorrow.

They're because the warm wind of your memory is causing my eyes to burn,

blur, and to water...

..against my will.

the tears in my heart are not from mourning.

They're because the dream of your being reminds my heart to smile 'til it giggles...

..and waters,

against my will.

The tears on my cheeks are not from only missing you.

They're because my eyes remember each day that the passing breeze,

tended to squeeze, cultivate, and freeze the memories out of my heart,

against my will.

The smile in my tears is not from glee.

It's from the fun we shared causing my eyes to burn with excitement,

blur our days together, water the seedlings of your essence,

reminding my heart to smile at the thought of you...

..and to recall your magic...

..against my will.

Seriously touched...

..by your remarks. I've tried to accomplish what you've been trying to "spark" in me. Not to write so "sing-songy", and to be more "real" in my poetry. I have no doubt, that you'd let me know if I was failing, in this regard...but, you need to know that I'm really grateful for your letting me know when I've done something right. Thanx, Doc.

This is Beautiful Doc

I love these lines:- The tears on my cheeks are not from only missing you. They’re because my eyes remember each day that the passing breeze, tended to squeeze, cultivate, and freeze the memories out of my heart, against my will. I can relate closely to this poem. Its a beautiful piece of writing. I really like the idea of the heart giggling too. Cheers - Kaz x It's impossible to smile on the outside without feeling better on the inside.

Sooo....gentle,

...are your remarks. I appreciated them, so. I seriously wonder, and worry...when a piece goes by, "remarklessly". All seriousness aside,:)...I truly wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your taking the time to let me know how you felt, about this poem. This style of writing is still very foriegn to my mind. Maybe, that's why I'm still strugling with the punctuation; I dunno. But, thanks again, for your kind remarks. Doc.
