Amoral Now
I am hard with obsession
Hardened with hatred at what I’m denied.
And yet it grows
A tower above me, yet from me;
And yet it grows and I feed on its fruit.
They dance with beauty
In front of my mind
Dangling temptation, sin and other wares
Like accidental, cheap salesmen;
I wish to buy, buy, buy.
There is no God
No moral purity
In the city of desire, where I dwell;
I sin to not sin
By not sinning, I sin;
Forgive me.
