Resurrection

Just when I thought that the day was bright again
Just when I thought my wishes came true
When I finally thought that no more was I insane
Yesterday I was reminded of you
I found the missing pieces to my own pain
And again, started missing you, out of the blue

Why did you have to remind me again?
Of the past that I had long meant to forget
The past that’d bought nothing but tears and vain
Of my immortal boulevard, in my tourniquet
All the words remind me of you
All the lies that used to be true
All the pain that we had gone once through
Have once again reminded me of you
Of you, and the fact, that I can never reach you

Smilin’ though I was, when I had let you go
Concealed from the fact which I just wanted you to know
How could I have stopped loving you, my love
When everything needed was right here, in your brow
All I want is for things to be as they were before
I don’t think that my heart can take much more

Hello,

I think that everyone has a love like that in their past. *sigh... and reading your poem has caused me to think of the one in my life. To make the poem flow more smoothly, I would lose the word "Just" in the second line. In the line: "Yesterday I got reminded of you" I would substitute "was" for "got" In the line: "Of the past that went that I had long meant to forget" I would lose "that went" I would also change the word "Cuz" to because or "since" as the slang doesn't sit well, at least for me. I hope I have helped. Always, Cat

thanks!

all of your suggestions seemed right to me, and have been implemented. however, changing cuz to because or since does not pace with the rhythm. so i thought i'd just remove it altogether. hope that helps!
