Dying Moments
To the bedroom they gathered,Friend’s family, silently standing,Satin silhouetting a once proud man, Tears orchestrated, by his chosen favoured tunes,Chorused with muted tones, of humble sobbing,Drapes letting by; Ambers of shimmering light, Disquietly the gathered, shared in recapturingMemorable times, being looked upon;By Surgeons monitoring vital signs, Timely respectfully, with heads bowed,Affairs spoken and finalized; slowly; One by one; exit’s their way out, Quietly forward from the diminished crowed,A hand stretches out, fingers mingle,Heads turning - eyes find focus, becoming locked, ‘You came’ he utters, and she just smiled, Surgeons fiddle to monitors,Which are now picking up a beat,Tubes pulsing pushing blood, this rekindles,Once silken skin; to colour, a pinkish red, Silently lovingly their thoughts exchange,She whispers ‘Darling’ take me, ride me,Let me see you through; too Heavens gate; Then I will rest, while you walk through, Succumbed, he smiled; Hands entwined, she guides,Offering her breasts for him to explore –For that one - last time, dancing out memories,Lovingly; she roll's out, - her lover's desire,As his Life - quietly ebbed by, 12th April 2008
