So very sad...

He had one month,

just one month left…

He was seeing her

for about six months now.

It was hard, it was difficult.

She had a boy friend,

he was married.

Yet they loved each other

ever so much.

Their hearts beat together,

their souls were intertwined,

their minds clicked together.

She had to leave abroad to study

in a far away land

and she would stay

for at least four years.

So, he had one month left,

just one month

to go out with her

to be close to her

to see her.

How many more times

would he see her?

During this month?

Two, three, four?

Of course they would

communicate on a daily basis

with every means possible.

But that wouldn't be the same as seeing her

being close to her.

So they had only one month left

to see each other

to be together.

They would most probably never

be so close together

ever again in their lives...

Maybe she would stay

forever in that foreign land.

Perhaps whenever she returned

it wouldn't be possible

for him to go out with her.

Who knows what the future holds?

This was so hard to comprehend

to come to grips with

to understand

to digest.

All he knew was

that he had one month left...

Life can be so kind

life can be so cruel...

It was just so unfair...

They were both very sad

trying to understand

what fate had brought them

They were so sad…

Hello

I'm not sure about the flow of this poem...I like the message and I think you should rework the flow of this piece and the cadence. It's very choppy as is... LadyTheresa
