Labyrinth
Veiled reflections, curtained mirrors,
Sighed eyes, nature’s sigh.
Corn flowers hold their breaths;
A feather rests before it flies.
Restless butterflies, swaying flowers,
Fluttered lashes, sparkled ripples.
Sleepless, dreamless summer’s nights,
Against moon, willow grove’s un-triumphant fights.
Threatened grassland when predators hunt;
Alerted eyes, oceans unfathomed,
Silence of the raising tides,
Whispers of washed shores.
Unspoken tales of ages unfold,
As those innocent pools flutter.
Many seasons are caught, so am I
In the dark labyrinth of your eyes.
