SHE LOVES ME...

My heart fluttered, I trembled,I shook. As if lightning had struck, this incredible feelingof warmth,of divine pleasureovertook me.In split seconds,at the speed of lighta myriad of sentimentsfilled my trembling heart.Yes it was joy, it was bliss,it was ecstasy, it was exhilaration. I felt like a proud eagle flying sky highwith all his splendorand with all his might.

I felt as happy and proud
as a young girl
receiving her very first
beautiful, splendid red rose. I was flying in heavenlike a little, innocent kidgetting his first bikeas his birthday present.  Yes, it was truethe letter on the screenwas "E".She was calling MEin full dangerof getting caught.
Yes, her jealous boyfriend
was around
but she dared to call me.
And she did get caught
with all the dire consequences
from the jealous boyfriend.
Questions, questions:
Why was she calling me
when he had just stepped away? Yes, I knew it:SHE LOVES ME!!! Yes, I knew it.These werethe most rare, the most preciousof moments…
Yes, I knew it. These are the momentsthat shapethe beauty, the magic
the loveliness of life…

Excellent imagery and emotion

I like the way the poem pulled me through. I had one stumble around: ---------------------------- Yes, it was true the letter on the screen was "E". She was calling him in full danger of getting caught. And she did get caught with all the dire consequences. --------------------------------- I'm unclear of the meaning behind the first three (3) lines and the last four (4) lines allude to a consequence that is never explained. For the first three (3) lines I might add a fourth that explains the significance of them. For the last four (4) I might add a fifth and sixth that do not fully detail the consequences but give the reader a better feel of what price was paid. All in all though I have to say this is a good poem. Over the last few months I have seen your work progress in depth to match the emotion you must be feeling. I look forward to reading your work each time if only because you and I write in disparate styles with, if I may be presumptuous, a similar goal of capturing an emotional snapshot and relating it to the reader. Again well done, thanks for bright spot this Monday morning. --Jonathan Annoying the world, one person at a time (Group discounts available)
