Waiting, waiting, in AGONY, for her text message...

I bought her an expensivebeautiful Tiffany's necklacejust a week before... Yesterday I hadsent her a text message.I was asking her how her first day in class was...Sixteen hours had passedand there was no answer. The mobile was silent, silent as a pristine glacier.
My heart felt like a glacier too...Thoughts raced through my mind. What was wrong? Was she avoiding me?Didn't she care for me?Didn't she love me any more?I was pretty sure she would text me today.I knew her too well. How should I respond?Should I respond immediatelyas if nothing had happened?Should I reply with a long delayto show how unhappy I was. Should I not reply at all?Would she call me instead perhaps?
What should I say? Thoughts raced through my worried mind,my heart pounded...I didn't know what would happenand how to respond.

I was in deep agony...I was in agony, painful agony...I couldn't bear it anymore.

My opinion,

Is that this poem should be in the first person, about you, not him. It would make it more honest. cheers, Jess
