Pulsation

Pulsation

Rumbling, pounding,
shaking, sounding,
Rushing, roaring,
emotions soaring,
Screaming, dreaming,
stomach squeaming,
Shaking, quaking,
pulse is racing,
Leaping, squeaking,
no time for speaking,
Dashing, daring,
extremely scaring,
Churning, turning,
muscles burning,
Ride the roller coaster!

Thank you

Glad you enjoyed the ride Eddie. Respectfully, Rett: "Two things stand in the way of a liberal doing what he thinks is best for people. One, he doesn't have enough power and two, we have too much freedom. If he figures out how to overcome either then we are in real trouble." Rett

Aww c'mon now...

Just because I listen to what the little voices in my head have to say, and follow sometimes, doesn't mean I'm a complete nut! (psstt, you weren't supposed to tell him about us! *kick*) (shhh, can't you see I'm trying to type?) It's ok, we sorted it out, now.... Amazing how I can hear the clickity-clack of the roller coaster, and how you perfectly describe the feeling of riding on one. btw - were you a process engineer named John at NXP (Philips Semiconductors) in a former life? You look eerily just like him. Love that piccy of you. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- "If you've ever emptied the back of your pickup truck by driving backward really fast and slamming on the brakes, you might be a redneck" - Jeff Foxworthy Bill Engvall: "that's how we moved"

*LOL* nutcase

I am glad I captured it well. You kind of have to have ridden one to really get the feel for riding about it. I loved roller coasters when young. I tamed a lot of them, but I only rode one after dark. That was enough (shudder) I like to see where I am going I do. Now, I never worked for Philips ever. I spent 31.5 years as an process operator/team leader for BASF Corp. I started when it was Dow Badische (pronounced Bad i Shay). Then Dow sold their part back and it became Badische and later they went ahead and gave it the parent company name. BTW, BASF stands for Babische Analin Soda FabriK. Badische was similar to our counties, Analin and Soda were their first products and Fabrik is German for Fabricating. They were a HUGE company before WW II and were broke up into smaller, then in the 60's started recombining. They pioneered magnetic recording tape and used to make the best around. They no longer even make it. Respectfully, Rett: "Two things stand in the way of a liberal doing what he thinks is best for people. Heard of all of them, esp. BASF and DOW

NXP did the same thing. First it was IBM, then IBM did a joint venture with Cirrus Logic, and became MiCRUS, then went back to IBM for a few months once MiCRUS folded, and then became Philips Semiconductors. I came on board with Philips shortly thereafter - but did have a MiCRUS badge for a couple months. They were sold in 2006, and became NXP Semiconductors, and now they're preparing to do a massive 4,500 person layoff to prepare for either closure or a sale.... Glad I got out of NXP in late 2006 when I did. They do 200mm (16" wafer) logic... cell phone chips, etc. Where we're at now does memory (D-RAM) and it's going through its host of problems, too... Used to be White Oak, then Infineon, now it's Qimonda - soon to be taken over by Micron. That's why I got out of semiconductor last year - wayyyyy too unstable. Unfortunately, Jon's still in it - and we're getting bounced around a lot because of it... ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- "If you've ever emptied the back of your pickup truck by driving backward really fast and slamming on the brakes, you might be a redneck" - Jeff Foxworthy Bill Engvall: "that's how we moved"

Wooden coaster

forty something I finally went on all these rides and we rode the Wooden coaster which was huge and fast I put my arms up as we crested over the top and held them there it was insane and fantastic at the same time just the feeling of maybe coming off the tracks that sheer bloody terrror wow Loved the company history also I remember I had a Pioneer Ghetto blaster that took Metal tape which was the best at the time I used to plug it into the old Gran Torino of my dads and drive around with it seatbelted in the passenger seat all long gone now like eight tracks Great Poetry too Rett

The wooden coasters are the best to me

I love them. Getting too old to handle the roughness now, but man I have tamed a few. My favorite was the Texas Cyclone in Houston at the now defunct Astroworld. WOW! Rode it one time at night though and hated it. Daylight good, dark bad. I used to keep my ghetto blaster in the front seal also, when I didn't have a femme there. LOL Only thing you forgot was throwing up after! Did that the one time I was at Great America In Illinois. Can't do coasters anymore, heart won't stand it and wife and kids won't let me near one! But Gods above I used to love those wooden coasters, it just a different feeling, a lot scarier to me! Respectfully Jim "Laws and rules don't kill freedom: narrow-minded intolerance does" : Race

Bummer Jim

I can't ride them anymore either, but I use to love them. Wooden ones were my favorite. They were more adventurous with an element of danger, but they also gave a better ride to me. The only time I couldn't handle a coaster was after dark. I have to see where I am going. *LOL* Respectfully, Rett: "A Democracy can withstand anything but Democrats." Robert A. here I am again

forget reading this origianlly last fall reminded me of hanging out at the wash depot laundromat place someone would load a years worth to get their money and the poor attendant would come running when the machine would start to thrash about going faster and faster sounding like a wild animal inside very humourus moment loved your comment about BASF I remember the tape it was very expensive at the time and they were clear see through my ghetto blaster played and recorded with its own equalizer small one but what a sound!!!! and now they have these discs (Stilll not an MP3 man though CBC said mp3 music brings out a shiny sound to the cymbals and guitar distortions so now Im intriuged a university man they talked too said this Stanford University I think I remember our seventy six Mustang dad bought for my brother and I so we could learn standard (hatchback model six cyclinder opposing) it had an eight track and we had to buy a cassette adapter You put your cassette in and then you pop this into the eight track machine and it would play the casettes casette was only six track if Im correct and eight tracks were wide eight tracks I miss the coasters my back couldnt take them anymore but the terror inspired was worth it thanks again Rett
