The inside might be different

The judge, perfect in judgment,Can still fault in his affairs. The seers, professing purity,Can still pollute in secret. The professional criminalCan still be a man of trust..The robbers, ruthless in act,Can still be a philanthropist.Don’t revere or bar a manBy what he does in public.03.07.2008

Absolutely agree. I have known those that seem like princes on the outside - and have learned that they are really jerks. The opposite being true as well. One of my best friends is that way, she comes off as being a snoot, but she really has a heart of gold. We have a saying here that would fit this poem well - "don't judge a book by its cover." Nicely done. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"So you stand on the corner in your new English clothes, and you look so polished from your hair down to your toes. Ah, but still your finger's gonna pick your nose after all." - Billy Joel
