Forbidden Love

I met you
On the Internet
That life's not different
I regret

 So distant
And so far away
I speak of friendship
But my thoughts stray

In the day
And in the night
My dreams of you
Are my delight

 My thoughts of love
That I've confessed
Must now and always
Be repressed

Why oh why?

"I wonder why You got to be shy Express your Love Don't cry or sigh" Please explain why you regret, because the other person's life’s not different. Nice & light poem! Enjoyed it. Nilmini

Thank you for your comment

I regret because if life were different then the situation would be different and the love would not be forbidden. However, life is not different. It is what it is. Perhaps if the two people had met under different circumstances, things might have turned out differently. Thank you for your comment. I always love to hear from you. Michael

Enjoyed it Michael

It has a nice tight format, an excellent flow and was very expressive and an insight to these times. So many romances start and die online. Well done sir! Respectfully, Rett: "Life is like a beach. Salty, gritty, somewhat fishy and at other times, downright crabby" Rett: 2008
