The Path of Fantasy

The Path of Fantasy

Man will walk the path of religion

that will take him into another world

closing his eyes

and turning his back

he leaves behind the realms of reality

his journey  that he takes

is a belief made from lies and deceit

for this  path  will  confuse and distort the mind

and soon without realising it

man’s ignorance

 begins to  prevail

as he  refuses to believe

that this path

he is  walking on

is a path of fantasy

Hi Karen...

Your poem is too general... how about something like... Some men will walk... because that path is not for all... although it is the majority... and with that being said I am afraid you will not make many friends with this outlook for no man wants to believe they are walking in fantasy... not saying I don't agree with it but it is condescending to many... and of course you have the right to say and feel what you want to... but man wouldn't last too long by himself... and with that let me welcome you to the site... I enjoyed your strong-viewed poem, but I may be one of the few... and oh yea... I'm a little crazy... so I've been told... Richard

Welcome

As Richard says, there are things that some get a little hot about and their beliefs may be one of them, he holds a lot of Wisdom in them there frowns, and gives good advice. Take a look at "The dream" they have become, well beggars belief. We look forward to more of your work here, and as everyones it is told, if there is even a spelling mistake, But remember if someone picks up a spelling mistake they really are into what you have written LOL. Have a great journey with us here, Yours Ian.T
