Exquisite Soulful Wonderings

You are gifted gorgeous mermaid
more than, I think you know
with wing like words you transport us
through windows on your soul

As the clouds tonight descended
my thoughts brushed over you
the rooms you paint, the love you've spent
I think I've been there too

There's a familiarity
a union in the light
a welcome of sweet wonder
to all who fly your skies

Rainbows of courage and beauty
plunge to the depths of us
tickling us with your sunshine
enticing us to gush

Exquisite soulful wonderings
you floor us with your song
such a glorious melody
can't help but sing along

For this and more I thank you
from bottom of my heart
and for this site, these poets,
where all may write their part.

Beautifully Written

a wonderful poem well written I hardly comment though on mechanics because I dont really know much literal Just throw stuff together But perhaps the last line could be adapted to "where all may have "their" part" wow I even didnt write They are by They're Im just learning too Faerybeki I didnt do well in school but that didnt stop me from reading Poetry even into my mid forties as now and loving poems like this one as ElectricBlue said Maybe its the english I could be wrong I hate correcting you and thank you for the comments by the way they always said I was too lenient in raising my own daughter now seventeen but shes so creative now and producing art and working and still last year in school Tatoo artist apprentice Well if you like your poem as is keep it thus Love your standing stone photo Love the old celts druids vikings etc Must go now Amazing poem to fellow Poet Five stars of course!! flew through your poem Just re read it slower and you have written it correctly the way you have it Boy am I embarrassed!! :) ignore me...please!!!

Thankyou for your comment

Thankyou for your comment Orgami, so glad you liked the poem, and I actually think you're right about that last line, so don't be embarrassed and I'm not going to ignore you! :) I was a bit worried about the use of 'us', I have no wish to speak for others here but knew there would be those who agreed with the sentiment, so glad you liked the poem itself too! I don't think 'education' is that vital in poetry, of course it helps if you want to write perfect sonnets or something, poetry is for all to find solace in, regardless of schooling. I love the way you write, there's something very real about it. Great poetry comes in many forms but the best is always from the heart, no maybe not the heart maybe the gut, the pit of the stomach. Your daughter sounds amazing and it's no suprise to hear she's creative, I've no doubt she makes you very proud. I'm glad you liked the stone hugging pic, but did recently upload a new, dog kissing pic, maybe refresh your page, I had to to see Anni's pic change a while ago. Anyway thanks again for stopping by and much love to you and yours xx

Thank you so much for your dedication, you know I feel the same

Oh Beki, you gorgeous thing... we will all be doing "Odes" to each other, heh heh. (I'd been waiting for an apropriate time to posy one for YOU) This is so lovely I don't know what to say... Thank you so much for your dedication dear one, you know I feel the same for you ... ahh we are lucky here aren't we. I am kind of blushing dear Beki, you've said such lovely things & all those lovely elements I love, mermaids & clouds & skies, sunshine & rainbows & all that other gorgeous stuff... hah, you lovely faery, conjuring all that up ta honey. & if I give you anything I am so very glad girl... You give it all back, that's what I love about giving, it just carries forward at it's best. With you it just rolls & multiplies... all good things Beki xx Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about ideas, language, and even the phrase, "each other" doesn't make any sense."

Hey Anni, so glad you like

Hey Anni, so glad you like it, I had to get in there first hon ;). All those gorgeous elements you love were conjured by you, I was just writing what i get from you! :) I saw this folk trio last weekend and they did a song about 'paying it forward', not heard the phrase before, if someone wants to pay you back for something you've done, tell them to pay it forward by helping someone they know who needs it, I really loved that idea and what you said about giving reminded me of it :) We are indeed very lucky babe, I'm grateful everyday for finding this site and you wonderful folk!! :) All good things indeed! :) much love b xx

Lovely tribute Beki

Like Orgami I found the last line a little uncomfortable compared with the effortless flow of the rest. Maybe "gush" was a rather too colloquial for me as well but thats probably just me. You have a beatiful natural style. All the best Keith

Hi Keith, thanks for reading

Hi Keith, thanks for reading and taking time to comment. i have edited the last line, be interested to know if you think it flows better? I can't change 'gush' I'm afraid but do see your point on it's colloquial nature! Am stil planning on reading more of you, I so loved the piano poem ( sorry not to get proper title I'm a bit tired after V long weekend!) much love b x

Stunning Beki!

I must agree on the last line, it did seem a little weak compared to the beauty of the rest of the poem. I absolutely love the rest of it though! Just gorgeous imagery and a sweet flow of words, so stunning! Peace and Love Katie

waft, waft, adore, dote, gush... Much love to my cherub tribe!

Hahhh. I have this little image of all of us gorgeous Neo-folk, wafting about with cherub wings & adoring each other (as we do)... That's our tribe, hey Kelsey, some of us may have fangs & twirl fire, armed with purple rubber gloves (my fave ones have just sprung a hole!) & a bath scrubber, sleep deprived & delirious... damn I've run out of dirt on everyone else... oh hang on... coffee in hand & post midnight flight simulator flailing, (hardly dirt this really)... I better go & do something in the real world... waft, waft, adore, dote, gush... Much love to my cherub tribe! Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.
