THE BATTLE RAGES ON

THE BATTLE RAGES ON

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Written by: Debbi Fry
Sneaky little bastard
Silently weaving his way along
Thru valleys and ventricles
His slime slithers on.
He doesn’t care of the wrath
He continues to cause to one
Nor the others that he hurts
He only finds a way to carry on.
Like him the urgency is growing
For new help, new paths,
And meds, especially new hope
For continued life for my friend.
As tears roll down
Hearts splinters some more
A need arises for all
Warriors ready yourselves
For the next stage of battle.
“All for one”
The battle rages on.
Look beside you to see
I will be standing there
Ready to do what needs to be done
For Casper the Cancerous Tumor
Will not be left alone
To reek his hell's havoc.
He doesn’t realize how many
Of us are here to fight for and with you.
Our shoulders are strong
Your weight we will bare
We refuse to give
That butterflying little bastard
 His way.
I will stand beside you,
You need not fight alone.
The Battle rages on.
Jayne,
I do understand your reasons. This is a hard one for me, and i'm just a by-stander watching my best friend deal with this... Thank you for your compliment. It means a lot. I am always here... Live, Laugh and Love (and don't forget to write) Tink
Thank you kindly for your suggestion. I will be changing it, but to something else, let me know what you think. "Slime slithers", i was so upset when i wrote this...it was the best i could come up with. I'm torn on the title thing. Live, Laugh and Love (and don't forget to write) Tink
Thank you for the compliment. I was so upset when i wrote this. i felt so deflated and i'm just a friend watching a friend go thru this battle. it sucks she will now go into her withdrawal surivial mode, and rightfully so, except selfishly I want to help instead of sit back and let her do her thing. Prayers are needed. and i will let her know you are "here" if she needs you. on her behalf, thank you. Live, Laugh and Love (and don't forget to write) Tink
Tink,
I've read this for the second time now, and still cannot get my wits together, there's just too much emotion in here... I'll come back and try to see the form another time. Much love, ~Nina
Brilliant imagery!!
The desciption of Cancer here is brilliant Tink, for me to this is an extremely sensitve subject to write about, let alone read. Nicely written, and I wish your friend all the best in the battle ahead for i know just how hard a fight it can become. Very bravely written as well as faced....Well done!!! Yours in script Jill Mistakes happen, do not dwell on them, live them, mourn them and move on to better things. (PS: if that does not work eat lots and lots of chocolate)
