Patches
Waves of night
corrugate to a winsome tide
crossing over late
mornings that have died
heat dried vines of
vineyards from past
seed not mental anguish
faithless souls are lashed
woven to breed us
are seeming less breaths
panting with struggle
in answer long quest
idle these Gods
ferocious their deeds
fear follows leaders
flesh of bones lay in weeds
grass by a millpond
hides quiet a scare
as thoughts do slither
in escape from lair
quietly sulking
weeping a tree
stands still as a picture
night's dew, on leaves
fences forgotten
roads filled holes
a heart moves from sadness
this life, claims it's soul
while dancing delight
from a worm as it crawls
to caverns below these
shedding all nightly calls
