Sitting At The Eloquent Mirror

I see my reflection

But it's not really me

I don't recognize

This person I see

Maybe this mirror

Is defective somehow

Broken or damaged

Though I don't know how

The looking glass frame

Bedazzled with jewels

Seems overly ornamented

For a window of fools

Could the mirror itself

Though shiny and bright

Be distorted by glare

From reflecting the light?

It's then that I realize

The distortion I see

The glass isn't defective

But my perception of me

Hello

I thought this piece to be not only very clever, but deep. I enjoyed the read. Always, Cat

Sitting

I also enjoyed this one from you. An interesting title challenge you did very well with~ _____________________________________________________ Income-tax forms should be more realistic by allowing the taxpayer to list "Uncle Sam" as a dependent Anonymous

An ending with a 'bang'

Great form and flow. And the ending was the cherry on top.
